New Fitness Coach and Personal Trainer

We are delighted to welcome Theo to Mode as a new Fitness Coach and Personal Trainer!

Theo has a strong background in fitness and sports performance, having previously worked at health clubs in the UK and Dubai, as well as designing and leading Strength and Conditioning programmes in schools. During this time, he has coached a range of clients to achieve their goals and looks forward to helping you surpass yours.

Theo’s approach aims to make training as enjoyable as possible while still being able to live your life. His specialisms include strength training, sport-specific training, muscle building, endurance-training and functional fitness, tailoring his coaching to meet your specific needs and preferences.

Master the Deadlift: 90-Minute Coaching Workshop
Master the Deadlift: 90-Minute Coaching Workshop

This February, we’re hosting a 90-minute Deadlift Coaching Workshop, designed and delivered by our expert coaches, Pawel and Evander.

Taking place on Saturday 7th February from 2.00pm to 3.30pm, the workshop will explore different types of deadlifts, helping you understand when to use each variation and how to perform them effectively. The session will focus on key techniques, movement principles and common faults, with specialist coaching throughout.

The session will cover a range of information, including:

  • The strengths and benefits of deadlifts
  • The most common injuries when performing deadlifts and how to avoid them
  • How to adjust the deadlift to suit different goals, such as weight loss, fat loss, building a lean physique, strength and conditioning
  • How to progress your deadlift performance safely and effectively

All levels are welcome, especially beginners or anyone who is afraid of deadlifting, and all participants will receive a free deadlift programme as a gift (accessible via the Mode Club Technogym app).

This is a practical, coach-led session for members looking to lift with greater confidence, control and performance.

Spaces are limited. Booking will be available via the app or by speaking with a member of the team.

Introducing Women’s Strength Training – A New Women-only Strength Class at Mode

We’re introducing Women’s Strength Training, a new 45-minute women-only class designed to help members feel confident, supported and empowered when training with weights and other resistance equipment.

The class focuses on learning fundamental strength movements, improving technique and building full-body strength in a welcoming environment that supports confidence, learning and progression. Suitable for all levels, it places strong emphasis on education, encouragement and community.

Whether you’re new to lifting or simply prefer to train in a women-only space, this session offers a supportive and motivating class to build strength and confidence together.

Bookings will be available via the Mode Club app.

Competition season is officially here, and our Mode squads are ready to go. We’d love to see members out in force at our home fixtures – We’d love to get a little more support behind our teams! Grab a coffee, bring a friend, and enjoy some fantastic competitive tennis and padel right on your doorstep. You can find upcoming home matches on the Calendar in the hallway by the entrance to the Club Lounge.

Our Spring term junior swimming lessons have officially started this week, and we’re excited to welcome members back to the pool. With a limited number of spaces still available, now is a great opportunity to join our popular swimming program. We warmly welcome new members of all levels and abilities. Our qualified instructors provide a fun, safe, and supportive learning environment focused on building water confidence, developing skills, and encouraging a lifelong love of swimming. Enrol your children now so they can enjoy summer holidays to the full.

Our Spring Junior Courses in tennis kicked off this week and there’s still time to secure a space. These programmes are a brilliant way for young members to build skills, confidence, and consistency whilst learning a life-long skill. BODYPUMP HEAVY blends traditional heavy weightlifting with the familiar BODYPUMP format. Using slower tempos, longer recoveries and foundational lifts such as squats, presses and deadlifts, this class focuses on building strength, lean muscle and solid lifting technique. Accessible for beginners, while still challenging for experienced lifters.
