The club is recruiting for a part time handyman/decorator. The role will focus on maintaining the club’s decoration with an ongoing painting and minor repair schedule. The role would suit a retired or semi-retired person wishing to work 8-12 hours per week. Previous experience as a qualified tradesman or in DIY projects would be essential.

Club Rules Recap

Please check out the Club Guide for full information but in early 2026 we would just like to remind all members about some specific details:

  • Family and Disabled Parking Spaces are for use by families and disabled members displaying an appropriate blude badge only.
  • Use of phone in changing rooms and on poolside/spa is prohibited, please leave phones in lockers away from wet areas for safeguarding and privacy reasons.
  • Please wear appropriate athletic shoes in the gym (no bare feet or flip flops) and please replace all weights back onto the appropriate racks. If you are big enough to lift it, you are big enough to pop it back!
  • We understand that some people may like to film parts of their training but the filming of others on the gym floor or interrupting others training due to filming is prohibited.
  • Please ensure that you supervise the children in your care while using the Club Lounge. We have a great soft play area for the kids to let off steam or on the playframe outside, now the weather has improved, but the banquette seating and bar are not part of the play areas!

Please do take the time to read the club guide and understand that the club is a shared space to be enjoyed by all.

New Adult Tennis Socials

After Easter we will be introducing a number of Tennis Socials. These are non-coached but fun, informal sessions to provide more opportunities for casual play – mixing in with other players. There will be options throughout the week at various times to cater for different availability and levels. It’s a great opportunity to meet other players and get out on court and hit a few balls. Sessions will be bookable on Technogym and we’ll be starting with the following sessions:

  • Monday 1pm – Beginner / Improver

  • Tuesday 12noon – Improver / Intermediate

  • Thursday 7pm - Improver / Intermediate

  • Friday 11am – Advanced

These will be in addition to coached sessions which run throughout the week.

Mental Health Awareness Week | 11th–17th May

To support this important week, we will be hosting a special Restorative Yoga & Sound session on Friday 15th May at 18:15 (75 minutes). This calming and immersive class is designed to help you slow down, reset, and reconnect - supporting both mental and physical wellbeing.

Booking Policy Update

To help ensure fair access to classes for all members, we have updated our booking policy:

  • A minimum of 6 hours’ notice is now required to cancel a class.
  • More than 3 late cancellations or no-shows within a rolling period will result in a temporary suspension of booking rights for 14 days.

Please note:

  • We do not remove individual no-show or late cancellation notifications, and we kindly ask that members do not challenge these.
  • If you feel there are mitigating circumstances as to why a booking-rights suspension should not apply, we may take this into consideration on a case-by-case basis.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a fair and accessible timetable for everyone.
